Frances Ramos
Counselor
Ms. Ramos, a Taina from the island of Puerto Rico, received her BA in Rhetoric and Political Sciences from UC Berkeley in 1998. After graduating from Berkeley, she worked at a non-profit youth development agency. She later returned to school to get a teaching credential and Master's Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of San Francisco. She has taught at Balboa High and Visitacion Valley Middle School in S.F., and at the School of Social Justice in East Oakland. Her passions include History, Literature, and traveling. She currently serves as the ESL teacher and Academic Counselor at Unity High.
