Math Teacher / Advisor to the Class of 2015
I was born in Sonoma County and went to Mills College where I graduated with a BA in Sociology. While at Mills I volunteered for Peer Health Exchange, an organization giving high school students the knowledge and skills needed to make healthy decisions. Through this organization I learned about Unity, and began working here in the spring of 2009 as an after school program tutor. As I continued to work here, I was given the opportunity to be more involved in the classroom as a substitute teacher. This sparked a love for teaching, and when the opportunity became available to teach Math here, I jumped for it. I’m looking forward to my first year of teaching and advising the 9th grade students.
