Thelma Woods
I was born and raised in Oakland, California. In 2008, I graduated with a B.S in chemistry from UC Berkeley. From 2008 to July 2015, I had the opportunity to work various jobs in the education field. I have worked as a math/science tutor at El Cerrito High School, Prescott Place and Merritt College. I also worked as a tutor, tutor coordinator, chemistry instructor, and academic coordinator for the Upward Bound Programs at the UC Berkeley and Mills College. I am currently pursuing a Masters in Urban Education and a teaching credential in Chemistry from Holy Names University. Working as the SPED paraprofessional for Oakland Unity High School, has been a rewarding experience. I am inspired by the work ethic and determination of both the staff and students that I work with everyday
