It is an honor to be teaching 11th grade English at Oakland Unity High School. Teaching English combines my love of working with high school youth and my passion for reading, writing, and critical thinking. I have worked in youth development, non-profit management, and the college access field at UC Berkeley, and teaching might just be my favorite career since it is always challenging and fun, and the students make me laugh every day.
I have studied at UC Davis, Stanford, and Cal State East Bay and I am a Native Californian. When I’m not teaching, I like to be in the outdoors, riding my bike, going on adventures, and spending time with my loved ones.
